There are many reasons to buy an LCD TV but have you really considered how versatile they are, you can really do lots of things with them and they have some very advanced technology that is built in these days but there may be a few misconceptions about LCD technology and the way it works, to be honest I think investing in a new LCD TV is one of the best things you can do, especially if you consume a lot of media or watch vast amounts of television.

Most people come home from a hard day's work and want to be entertained, some play games, some watch movies and others just like to relax with their favourite soap or TV channel, LCD TV's offer us a chance to do all of that by being able to display different media types and not need any more expensive equipment aside from a few additional leads which are very inexpensive.

One of the main uses for LCD TV's these days is for a computer monitor, it's now so easy just to have your TV double up a large computer monitor and not only that but it's so simple to set up that you probably won't even look at your old computer monitor, typically it's always best to have a large screen display purely because it helps to prevent eye strain and let's face it, most of us in the modern world spend vast amounts of time in front of some type of screen during the day so we may as well help our eyes by making it as large as possible.

As well as using it as a computer monitor you can also use is to connect your games console to, this may require additional wires but pretty much all LCD TV's now come with a HDMI connection at the back, this means you just have to plug in your games console and you can output your favourite game in stunning HD quality, something that gamers will really enjoy.

The final use for LCD TV's come with the fact that you can connect up a Blu-ray or DVD player and enjoy a movie, if you buy a certain size screen it can be like having a cinema in your home and of course you can hook up satellite TV and enjoy on demand movies in HD.
